Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate (AFNWC/NC) is seeking four full-time NH-346-03, Logistics Management Specialist positions (NOVRHR051M, NOVRHR061M, NOVRHR071M, NOVRHR081M) within the NC3 Integration Directorate. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate (AFNWC/NC) has several Logistic Management Specialist (LMS) job vacancies, NH-0346-03, in multiple Divisions and Locations:
- NCC Combatant Command C2 Division – Division located in Offutt Air Force Base Nebraska with position based at Peterson Space Force Base Colorado Springs, CO
- NCL Sustainment Division – Peterson Space Force Base Colorado Springs, CO
- NCS Strategic Communications Division - Hanscom Air Force Base, Hanscom, MA
These NH-346-03 positions have a typical 2025 salary range of $90,961 – $155,164 (Salary varies based on location)

DUTIES:
- The primary purpose of these positions is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist within the AF NC3 Integration Directorate.
- The position will function as an LMS in building, executing, and managing product support strategies.
- Additionally, this position will interface with stakeholders from Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Air Force Major Commands (MAJCOMs), Air Force & Army Depots and Program Offices across the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and others to ensure successful product support.
- The LMS leads acquisition and sustainment logistics support to multi-functional teams. The candidate is expected to perform independently and lead teams in responding to frequent taskings with short deadlines to ensure program management and logistics issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- The candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the total cradle-to-grave life cycle cost, schedule, performance, and logistics support for assigned systems or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance into program activities required to sustain the system. Directs and determines support requirements; i.e., workloads, schedules, test equipment, facilities, skills, and training. Establishes milestones and monitors execution throughout the project to ensure schedules are met, deficiencies are identified, and required adjustments completed.
- Develops Product Support plans and milestones as directed by policy and guidance to provide the best product for the user, ensuring the most effective and economical means of support are considered and planned during all stages of a weapon system’s life cycle. Leads, guides and assesses the logistics impact to acquisition programs, identifies overall tasks to be performed and takes actions to meet requirements.
- Serves as the logistics technical advisor on contracts. Develops comprehensive logistics evaluation criteria to measure contractor progress in meeting program objectives. Participates in contract administration ensuring compliance with contractual processes, procedures, and schedules.
- These are non-supervisory positions.
- Candidates should have a strong background in weapon system acquisition and sustainment logistics with comprehensive knowledge of the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements. Have the ability to understand complex technical concepts and technical information of communications systems across the Air Force. Have the ability to communicate well and manage professional relationships with a multitude of stakeholders.
- This is NOT a remote or full-time telework position. Due to stated position responsibilities and the need to work in a classified environment, on the appropriate computer system, the majority of these duties require an in-office presence. Situational telework may be available as mission requirements dictate.
SKILLS:
- Knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.
- Knowledge of safety, security, and the ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.
- Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
- Strong Logistics Management background, as applied to DoD acquisition programs, is desired.
- Strong NC3 domain experience is desired.
- Technical management and IPT Leadership experience desired.
- Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP
- Must be Top Secret eligible
- These positions have been designated as acquisition positions and are covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act requirements applicable to the duties of the position. Applicant must possess or be able to obtain a Foundational certification in Life Cycle Logistics within the required timeframe.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft based on position to be filled.
- May be required to file an annual Office of Government Ethics (OGE) Form 450 – Confidential Financial Disclosure Report
