AFNWC/NC, the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate, is seeking a highly qualified Supervisory Acquisition Program Manager (002958391M) to fill an NH-1101-04 vacancy at Peterson SFB, CO.
 
POSITION:  Deputy Chief, MC2S Branch, Combatant Command C2 Division (AFNWC/NCCM).
 
The position NH-1101-04 has a typical 2025 salary range of $127,818– $195,200.(locality included).

Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of and experience in implementing policies, best practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition management and contracting processes. Knowledge of the mission, role, function, and organizational structure of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process.  Knowledge of the Nuclear mission and experience with the organizations, systems, and technologies involved in NC3.  Possess strong ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.  Possess ability to apply critical thinking to technical, programmatic, and organizational challenges and develop appropriate courses of action.
 
DUTIES:
•Deputy Chief for a branch focused on modernization and production of critical capabilities to meet new requirements and future capabilities.
•Program Manager for several program activities to include the Mobile Command and Control System (MC2S).
•Manages resources across the branch to ensure efficient completion of tasks and products.  Establishes management controls to meet program objectives and lead management reviews to update leadership and stakeholders on program status. 
•Identifies and resolves highly complex technical and organizational problems crossing multiple organizational and functional boundaries to manage cost, schedule, and risk priorities. Advises leadership on technical design, development, production, test, and operational issues related to requirements, systems engineering, finance, performance, and schedule.  
•Works closely with external programs managers to coordinate funding, schedules, and system integration.
 
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
•U.S. CITIZENSHIP
•Must be eligible for a Top Secret clearance.  This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
•The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act requirements applicable to the duties of the position.  Applicant must possess or be able to obtain a Back to Basics (BtB) Practitioner certification in Program Management. Note: Previous Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) level II certifications are sufficient and will transition to a BtB Practitioner certification.
•Work will require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
•This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
