These positions are NH-1101-04 which have a typical 2025 salary range of $127,818– $195,200. (locality included). Work is performed on-site at Hanscom AFB, MA.
The NC3 Integration Directorate is currently seeking highly qualified Acquisition leader to fill a pivotal position supporting the Nuclear Deterrent Operations mission. This Supervisory Acquisition Program Management Specialist NH-1101-IV (009721741M) position will serve as the Division Chief for the NC3 Weapon System Integration Division within the Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate/AFPEO NC3. Candidates should be well-versed in the NC3 & Nuclear mission, have relative experience with weapon system development, health management, and systems of systems integration required to sustain/modernize critical capabilities that support force direction and management of nuclear forces.
The candidate should be comfortable partnering at all levels within the Department of Defense and Senior Government leadership required to effectively support this strategic mission area.
Position description:
Serves as the NC3 Weapon System Division Chief. This Division is focused on integrating/managing the Air Force’s Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications capabilities as a system-of-systems Weapon System on behalf of Air Force Global Strike Command and in support of the White House Military Office and USSTRATCOM. The candidate should be capable of the following:
- Knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of program management.
- Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
- Ability to plan, organize, lead, and manage critical aspects of directorate wide efforts, and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of efforts and personnel in support of the process.
- Knowledge of Digital Engineering Digital Acquisition.
- Knowledge of Weapon System Configuration Management, Health Analysis/Management, Modeling and Simulation, and Operational assessments.
- Knowledge of digital tools associated with effectively executing the list above.
Requirements:
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
- Employee is required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; new hire must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
- The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act requirements applicable to the duties of the position. This position requires Advanced Level Program management certification.
