Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is currently seeking a full-time Lead Logistics Management Specialist to work in the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate at Hill Air Force Base, near Layton, Utah.
This NH-346-03 position (171961) has a typical 2026 salary range of $89,508- $138,370.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Lead Logistics Management Specialist overseeing a team responsible for product support and weapon system requirements across the Minuteman III (MMIII) enterprise.
DUTIES:
• Oversees product support planning and execution for MMIII developmental and sustainment programs from cradle to grave.
• Serves as coach, facilitator, and negotiator in coordinating team initiatives in support of the Minuteman III System Program Office (SPO) and Product Support Manager (PSM).
• Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks that directly impact the Minuteman III weapon system.
• Ensures assigned team members maintain required certification levels and skill sets associated with Life Cycle Logisticians and requirements execution.
• Represents the team in communicating team consensus on various topics.
• Resolves simple, informal employee complaints and supports day-to-day problem resolution appropriate for a Team Lead.
SKILLS:
• Knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.
• Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the logistics management program processes.
• Ability to mentor, monitor and adjust workload assignments, motivate and communicate strategic goals and plans of the organization to a team.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.
• Ability to manage a variety of logistics functions and team of logistics specialists in support of research, development, production, and support of a system, subsystem, or equipment and work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.

• Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
