Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is currently seeking a highly qualified Management Analyst (001042661M), to fill a NH-0343-02 vacancy in the AFNWC Command Center Staff Directorate located at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.
The position is a NH-0343-02 which has a typical 2026 salary range of $40,736 - $97,087
This position is not eligible for remote or full-time telework; situational-based agreements may be available at the discretion of the hiring manager.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the trip planner and calendar analysis/management for Commander. Command staff workflow analysis and management. COR for contractor support.
SKILLS:
1. Ability to perform Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) duties.
2. Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to apply to issues, challenges, studies, and/or duties concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of the command staff and other supported offices’ operations.
3. Knowledge of the mission, major issues, program goals and objectives, work processes and tools, and operations of the command staff and other supported offices of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC).
4. Knowledge of management and organizational principles and practices along with an ability to use necessary office automation tools and Air Force/Department of Defense systems to include: Microsoft 365, the Defense Travel System, and the Air Force Task Management Tool.
5. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, internal and external to the organization, and in compliance with Air Force Tongue and Quill and AFNWC Business Rules, to achieve stated objectives or to make an adequate case for a particular strategy that achieves overall command staff, other supported offices, and AFNWC goals and objectives.
6. Skilled in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity.
DUTIES:
- Executive Assistant to the Commander. Analyzes, plans, and coordinates all scheduling/calendar requirements for the commander. Resolves conflicts and issues as they arise with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Office Manager/Command Staff Communications. Facilitates effective communication among command staff and meets weekly with key stakeholders to ensure proper and complete support of center leadership.
- Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for contracted administrative support.
- Itinerary Preparation and Execution. Analyzes and plans all official travel required of the CC in his official capacity. Utilizes the Defense Travel System (DTS), command staff mission requirements, and communicates with host entities to ensure complete itinerary planning and publishing.
- Command Staff Workflow Management. Analyzes and manages all incoming workflow traffic to include all Air Force Task Management Tool (TMT) taskings for the center leadership and command staff. Consistently manages the very dynamic prioritization of all taskings with recurring mission requirements.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an Office of Government Ethics (OGE) Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- Work may require travel several times a year.
