Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is currently seeking two full-time Acquisition Program Management Specialists to serve alongside the Air Force Global Strike Command Detachment 10 Sentinel Task Force managing Weapon System Integration, MILCON, Real Estate, and D3 activities in the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate, Transformation and Infrastructure Division, at Francis E. Warren AFB near Cheyenne, WY.
These NH-1101-03 positions have a typical 2026 salary range of $89,508- $138,370.

Serving within the ICBM Transformation and Infrastructure Division, the incumbents act as the principal advisors to the Senior Acquisition Leader at the F.E. Warren operating location for critical program management functions. In this role, the incumbent delivers centralized oversight of cost, schedule, performance, risk, and incentive management, ensuring disciplined program execution and facilitating data-driven decisions regarding the acquisition progress. Additionally, they execute the Sentinel Acquisition Strategy, oversee enterprise-wide scheduling, and direct the planning and execution of key program milestones relevant to infrastructure.
DUTIES:
- Manage, coordinate, and synchronize the MILCON and Deployment portfolios, aligning critical logistics and construction milestones with strategic acquisition timelines.
- Monitor prime contractor execution of EMD deliverables against the Statement of Work (SOW) and Technical Baseline.
- Integrate Government strategic priorities across complex wing-level engineering and oversight workflows, coordinating directly with enterprise stakeholders to proactively mitigate cross-functional risks.
- Manage, review, and analyze the program’s Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to identify critical path drivers, schedule slack, and potential milestone slips.
- Serve as a primary support focal points to the product IPTs for the reprogramming and execution of the Sentinel prime contract.
- Integrate complex acquisition strategies, program schedules, and critical deliverables across multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and mission areas.
- Forecast, identify, and mitigate complex logistical risks to rapidly elevate resource shortfalls and safeguard operational objectives.
- Synthesize and brief critical program risks, MILCON milestones, and logistics execution data to senior leadership, enabling rapid, data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
SKILLS:
- Experience managing execution of elements of a DoW ACAT I/II program is highly desired. Strong communication and organizational skills with demonstrated experience in leading, influencing and collaborating in a diverse team environment that includes internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and coordinate effective integrated support for schedules, plans, roadmaps and milestones to successfully execute or field a weapon system.
- Experience preparing and presenting briefings, reports, findings and recommendations, program information, written summaries and results from synthesized data and/or metric analysis etc., with senior leadership, external stakeholders and customers (e.g., government contractors, other government agencies, etc.).
- Experience with stakeholder/public engagement and strategic communications related to a DoW program.
- Knowledge of current DoW and Air Force instructions, policies, directives, and applicable agreements pertinent to acquisition of private and public real estate by the Air Force.
- Knowledge of MILCON processes and familiarity with all forms and procedures need to plan and execute MILCON funds.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- Must meet and maintain Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification requirements for Program Management at the Practitioner level
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employees must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employees will be required to file an Office of Government Ethics (OGE) Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
