AFNWC recognizes annual award winners

The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center announced its annual award winners at a virtual ceremony on Feb. 8, which included participants from several AFNWC locations.
 
The center’s winners will compete at the next level for Air Force Materiel Command’s annual awards.
 
"This ceremony was an excellent opportunity to celebrate our members who have really done an exceptional job this year,” said Joseph Oder, AFNWC executive director. “Thanks for all you have done, and continue to do, to support national security.”
 
AFNWC 2021 Winners
 
  • Airman of the Year – Airman 1st Class Cierra Alsay-Mathews, Air Delivered Capabilities Directorate, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico
  • Non-commissioned Officer of the Year – Technical Sgt. Ronald Paramore, Minuteman III Systems Directorate, Francis E. Warren AFB, Wyoming
  • Senior Non-commissioned Officer of the Year – Master Sgt. Jermaine Austin, Minuteman III Systems Directorate, Francis E. Warren AFB
  • Company Grade Officer of the Year – Capt. Ryan Landon, Minuteman III Systems Directorate, Hill AFB, Utah
  • Field Grade Officer of the Year – Maj. Carlos Barrios, Minuteman III Systems Directorate, Hill AFB
  • Category I Civilian of the Year – Travis Carlisle, Minuteman III Systems Directorate, Hill AFB
  • Category II Civilian of the Year – Tyson Godfrey, Minuteman III Systems Directorate, Hill AFB

The center is responsible for synchronizing all aspects of nuclear materiel management on behalf of Air Force Materiel Command in direct support of Air Force Global Strike Command. Headquartered at Kirtland AFB, the center has about 1,800 personnel assigned to 17 locations worldwide.
