If you are looking for the next step in your career - and  want to be part of something big - look no further than the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, headquartered at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico.

Successfully completing our mission of delivering nuclear capability warfighters use every day to deter our adversaries and assure our allies is central not only to national security, but our nation's survival as well. We continue today a legacy that began with the Manhattan project.

The center offers a unique experience that civilians will not find anywhere else. Its employees modernize and modify weapons capabilities to meet the demands of a complex military landscape. They also ensure the disposal and demilitarization of excess military weapon system and materials to prevent their acquisition by others, especially potential enemies of the United States.

The center needs interdisciplinary teams and seeks top talent from multiple engineering disciplines, including electrical, computer, mechanical, aerospace, materials, chemical, civil and systems. AFNWC frequently recruits engineers of all experience levels, from recent graduates to industry experts. Some recent job postings include positions for electronics engineers, mechanical engineers and general engineers.

In addition, program managers, logistics specialists, financial and contracting management professionals, and more can find opportunities at AFNWC. Civilians at AFNWC work shoulder to shoulder with military and contractor partners to make a significant contribution to our nation's defense.

Most positions are located here at Kirtland AFB and Hill AFB, Utah (see https://www.afnwc.af.mil/About-Us/Snapshot-Locations/). Current civilian job listings can be found at https://www.afnwc.af.mil/About-Us/Jobs/ or www.usajobs.gov.
