28th EARS refuels E-8 JSTARS
A U.S. Air Force E-8 Joint STARS, assigned to the 7th Expeditionary Airborne Command and Control Squadron, receives fuel from a KC-135 Stratotanker, Sept. 28, 2019. The E-8 JSTARS is a modified Boeing 707-300 series commercial airframe equipped with radar, communications, operations and control subsystems required to execute its roles as an airborne management, command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform.
